Google is now copying Game Center. So, is Google good enough to produce rival software or is this a house of cards? Quite honestly, I’m surprised they’ve made it this far. After converting my app to Android, I decided not to release it since it was just too inferior to the iPhone version. Lots of reasons for that, but it just seems that chasing shouldn’t work.

FWIW, most other sites (i.e. Wall Street Journal, Reuters, random smaller sites) seem to be leading this story as “Google is now copying Facebook,” not Game Center.
Sadly, this is actually the first time I’d even heard that Apple was developing a Game Center (I had to look it up. But then again I’m not much of a gamer). Is this something we expect will be a big deal?
