Since May 25th Verizon is bucking the trend while both DJIA and Apple where falling in tandem. Yesterday, when market dropped 133 points, VZ actually gained 0.20%. I say somebody around Verizon knows something we don’t. I would say Apple-Verizon deal is in the works, but then it is a little perplexing why Apple was dropping with DJIA instead of bucking the trend with Verizon. I am sure we’ll find out soon enough.

I suspect its about those searching for yield. VZ is a good dividend payer, prospects are pretty good (American’s are not cutting back on cell usage). I doubt anyone is buying VZ on iPhone rumors, because if you did you’ve been buying it since the iPhone 4 announcement.

What’s going on!? RIMM bucking today’s open! At least I can see it’s heavily oversold. But so is AAPL.

VZ is a dividend stock through and through. The US market is saturated, which means growth only comes from stealing it from other players. On the flip side, that leads to revenue stability, essential for a dividend stock.
